BC Volgaburmash coach Igor Grudin had kind words for USK Praha after his defending champions kept the Czech team winless in the EuroLeague Women on Tuesday night.
Volgaburmash struggled at times but eventually won the Group A clash 78-62 to improve to three wins and just one defeat.
USK Praha have now lost four consecutive games in the competition.
"USK has four losses but they will win in this competition for sure," Grudin said on www.basket.idnes.cz.
"It is a strong team and we had to show all we can do."
Praha led 13-12 after the first quarter but Volgaburmash took control in the second period when they outscored their hosts 23-11.
Lubor Blazek, the USK Praha coach, said: "I am happy that a team like Samara had to play a zone defence against us.
"I am not unhappy that we lost today. On the other hand, I am worried because we lost the previous two games against Namur and Valencia."
