Veronika Bortelova - EuroBasket Women 2015 Profile

After a nine-year hiatus following her first major tournament appearance back in 2001, the playmaker was brought back by Coach Blazek for both the FIBA World Championship in 2010 and then EuroBasket Women 2011, followed up by another Final Round in France two years ago. It was sketched out as a swansong and Bortelova did the job, helping out her country and booking them a spot at last year's Worlds in Turkey. It looked like it would be the final appearance of the guard in a national team vest,, but out of the blue, she was drafted back into the squad in recent months. The Czechs are banking on her veteran know-how once again and especially her cool head, excellent decision-making and calming influence - all of which will be vital at her third consecutive EuroBasket Women tournament.
