Szia from Pecs!
|The Pecs team making the most out of airport delays; Alexandria travels on the wing|
So, I think this is the first time in a while that I write to you all after we picked up a EuroLeague Women victory! Man, does it feel good to win - it certainly makes life so much better.
We travelled to Riga this week knowing that this was simply a must win for game us. We started the game really strongly going up 15-0. Everyone brought energy and the necessary focus for this game.
The fun part was travelling back to Pecs the next day. We were delayed so long in Riga because the airport in Prague had so much snow! We made it fun in the airport of course though by taking many photos, watching movies, and drinking several cappuccinos.
Going back before out success against TTT Riga, we made our worst showing in EuroLeague Women with a tough loss at Cras Basket Taranto. It was just one of those games you have to forget about because you know how much better you can play.
Aside from the game, it was fun to walk around Taranto and see some of the city. It was actually Thanksgiving on the day we were there so instead of eating turkey, I ate some pizza with one of my team-mates. I guess you have just gotta eat pizza when in Italy right?! Well, I think so!
It was a really nice day out so we walked down by the Adriatic and took some more photos! Although I really missed my family on this holiday, I still felt really thankful to be where I was.
Well, next up for us is Wisla Can-Pack at home this Thursday. We lost a very close game against them at the beginning of the year and so we're excited for this chance to get a win.

I feel like we haven't played at home in Pecs in such a long time! I miss our fans and the comfort of our own gym. We have the best supporters, so I can't wait to feel their energy and play in front of them again.
So, thankfully we are finally at home in Pecs for a little while. All this travelling just makes time go so fast! I can't believe it's December already! We are having a ‘Secret Santa' gift exchange with our team, so aside from beating Krakow, I will be searching the shopping mall for the perfect gift this week! I have got some pretty good ideas so it shouldn't be too hard.
After a couple days off to rest our bodies, it's time to get back to business. It's such another big game for us on Thursday and it's time to turn this thing around. We know we have an uphill battle here, but taking it one game at a time is our mindset right now.
That's all for now and hopefully next time I write to you all, I'll have some more wins to talk about!
