Szia (hello in Hungarian) to all you EuroLeague Women fans and supporters! This is my second year playing with the team in Pecs and I'm so excited to be back! It's so nice to be familiar with the city, my team-mates and the coaches. It just makes coming over to Europe so much easier.

I've already been here in Pecs for about a month but time is sure flying! It feels like only yesterday I was at home eating a turkey dinner and saying goodbye to my family. It’s now a tradition for my family to cook a Thanksgiving Dinner foe me before I leave because that's the holiday I unfortunately have to miss in November. Luckily for them though, they get to have turkey and all that good stuff twice!

Getting back to basketball, we have been playing one game a week in the Hungarian domestic league and have gone 6-0 so far! We are very happy with this but definitely not satisfied because we know we have a lot of getting better still to do.

We got the chance to play in a friendly tournament in Istanbul two weekends ago and it was a good test to see where we are at against some better competition. We beat Good Angels Kosice and Bulgaria, but lost to the home team of Fenerbahce. This small tournament gave us a chance to really see what we need to work and improve on before the start of the EuroLeague Women season which is approaching rapidly.

Speaking of which, we have our first game against TTT Riga next Thursday and so starting this week we have been picking up the intensity in our practices and getting our minds and bodies ready for this first game.

We know that TTT Riga has a great group of Latvian players, a talented British player in Kim Butler and an athletic guard in Shavonte Zellous. For now though, we are just focusing on gelling as a team and getting better day by day.

Outside of basketball though, this is a fun team to be on. We don't get too many days to rest and enjoy but this past Sunday we had off, so me and a couple of team-mates decided to take advantage of the day.

Myself, Sara Krnjic and Krisztina Raksányi decided to go to one of our favourite spots to eat called Lemon Cafe. I love it because they serve American pancakes with maple syrup! It's pretty hard to find syrup or American pancakes for that matter here in Hungary, so whenever I'm craving a big breakfast, Lemon Cafe is the place I'm always going. We then went to our favourite coffee and sweet spot and got some cappuccinos and dessert!

However, now for the best part of the day and the reason I mention it! We decided to play tennis outside! We had been talking a while about playing and so decided to find some courts and put our skills to the test. I decided to be Maria Sharapova, Sara was Serena Williams, and Kris was Justine Henin.

We were a little rusty at first, hitting a few balls over the fence but we warmed up and started looking like professionals. At the end of the day though, Maria Sharapova finished on top! Sorry Serena and Justine - better luck next time! Well that's all I have for now from Pecs, Hungary. Stay tuned for more action and stories from both on and off the court right through the 2011 EuroLeague Women season.

Until the next time!
