The only team to challenge the Samara team last season was Gambrinus Brno and that was in the final, but the Hungarian side Pecs did it in the second week of this campaign and after their win over Dexia, they are clearly on a roll.

The Belgians led 22-16 near the end of the first quarter, but their hosts quickly established control in the second period and never had their grip on the game loosened after.

MiZo went on a 13-0 run which bridged the opening and second quarters, with Vickie Johnson, the EuroLeague Women's player of the week after her heroics against Volgaburmash, accounting for seven off  the points.

MiZo pressed home their advantage and held a commanding 46-28 lead at half-time.

They were not challenged in the second half.

Johnson had a team-high 18 points, including 12 in the first half, for MiZo.

Rebekkah Brunson had a game-high 25 for Dexia.

The home team held a 38-24 advantage on the boards, one of the reasons for their convincing triumph.
