Dalma Ivanyi was the heroine as MiZo-Pecs clinched a 71-47 victory over Lotos Gdynia to progress to the last eight of EuroLeague Women.

In the third and deciding game of the series, Ivanyi’s heroics ensured her side were never seriously threatened by the visitors.

It was enough to earn the Hungarians a last-eight tie with Lietuvos Telekomas.

Ivanyi has led her team in rebounds, steals and assists all seasons but her performance on Wednesday ensured she also beat Vickie Johnson to top scoring honours.

MiZo-Pecs were well in command of the match by the midway point and Ivanyi’s three-pointer eight seconds before the break had extended the lead to 39-21 over the Lotos.

They kept their visitors at bay for the second period and their lead was never seriously threatened.

Ivanyi had five rebounds and two assists to add to her game-high points haul of 17, although Johnson, with 13 points, four rebounds and five assists, was also a key performer.

Zsofia Fegyverneky contributed 12 points while Ekaterina Lisina added 10 for the winners.

For Lotos, Rankica Sarenac poured in 12 and hauled down eight rebounds in a losing cause - the only member of her team to manage double-digits.
