Probably the least heralded member of the Russian national team, Vladimir Dyachok will try to make a name for himself as this summer really looks like a turning point in this young man’s career... For the moment his lone appearance in a major international tournament was in 2000 when he played in the Under 20 European championship, averaging 9.9 points per game... Dyachok has played his whole career for Universitat Surgut and slowly climbed the ladder all the way to the Superleague, winning the Higher League championship in 2001 and achieving the same result in 2004 in the B Superleague... This season, his first among Russia’s elite, he averaged 14.1 points and 4.6 rebounds per game... This versatile forward seduced powerhouse CSKA Moscow and will play in the Euroleague next year. |
