√Člvis √Čvora - EuroBasket 2011 Profile

Team 2010-11: Sport Lisboa Benfica (Portugal-LPB)
Career: FC Porto (Portugal-LPB, 1998-2005), Unelco Tenerife (Spain-LEB1, 2005-06), Ovarense (Portugal-LPB, 2006-08), Aguas De Valencia Gandia Basquet (Spain-LEB1, 2008-09), Sport Lisboa Benfica (Portugal-LPB, 2009-11)

Elvis Evora didn't play during the Qualifying Round because he was injured, but is expected to make a return to the roster for EuroBasket 2011 having last played for the National Team when trying to qualify for EuroBasket 2009. He is a former All Star of the Portuguese League and brings a wealth of experience including several campaigns in European club competition. Evora is a powerful center who also knows what is required to compete at a major tournament since he is one of the few players on the current roster who has played at a EuroBasket Final Round. He was the best rebounder for Portugal during the 2007 tournament in Spain when he helped his team finish in ninth spot. He comes into the summer after a very good season in the Portuguese League and in EuroChallenge. He can be very impressive and hard to defend inside although a lack of pace and stamina means he is likely to start but won't play huge minutes.
