Vlado Ilievski's club career might have taken a downwards spin in the past couple of seasons, but he is always there when it comes to the national team. Ilievski is not a player who catches the eye with some amazing skill but he is very consistent in everything he's doing and is the type of a guard a lot of coaches would like to have. He controls the game calmly and is the perfect conductor of putting a coach's ideas into play on the court. He will always be a hero in his country after hitting the three-pointer that won the quarter-final against EuroBasket hosts Lithuania two years ago. He brings a lot of experience to his team, having played in almost every top European league. Ilievski originally played at his first EuroBasket tournament back in 1999 as a teenager.
