Fenerbahce turned on the style in the fourth quarter and claimed a 69-63 win at Lotos Gdynia on Thursday night.

In the EuroLeague Women Group D game, Nevriye Yilmaz led the Fener attack with 16 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Tammy Sutton-Brown also scored 16 with five boards and five assists.

The visitors from Istanbul improved to 4-2 while Lotos Gdynia dropped to 2-4.

The game was close from start to finish.

Fenerbahce trailed the Polish team 48-44 heading into the last frame.

Australia international Penny Taylor of Fenerbahce knotted the contest at 50-50 with 8:37 to go in the fourth quarter with a lay-up and then scored next time down the floor for a two-point advantage.

The game then had several lead changes.

Shameka Christon scored for a 63-62 Gdynia lead 1:40 from the end but Fener finished the clash with a 7-0 run to win.

Nicole Powell hit the go-ahead jump shot before Birsel Vardarli followed with two free-throws.

Taylor ended the scoring with a three-pointer for the six-point victory.

Ivana Matovic had 21 points and eight rebounds for Gdynia.

Free-throw shooting played a big part in the contest with not a single one missed all night.

Gdynia, however, took far less trips to the line.

They were four of four from the charity stripe while Fenerbahce were 14 of 14 with Yilmaz and Sutton-Brown each four of four.
