Fenerbahce put paid to Tarbes' hopes of advancing to the EuroLeague Women play-offs with an 82-69 triumph in Istanbul on Wednesday night.
Penny Taylor erupted for a season-high 29 points to lead Fener, who assured themselves of a second-place finish in Group D behind Spartak Moscow Region with their seventh victory in 10 games.
Tarbes were seeking their third win of the campaign and had they been successful, the French outfit would have clinched fourth place.
Just over two minutes into the second half and the visitors only trailed 45-43 after a made jumper by Charde Houston.
Fenerbahce were still only in front at 55-51 with 4:06 to go in the third quarter following a jump shot by Pauline Jannault.
The home side kept the pressure on and gradually built a substantial lead.
Nevriye Yilmaz scored to make it 57-51 and Taylor then sank two free-throws and a jumper to extend the advantage to 10.
Tarbes remained within striking distance for the next several minutes before Fenerbahce's lead ballooned to 76-61.
They eventually walked off the court with an 82-69 triumph.
Houston ended the night with 18 points in defeat.
