The Turkish frontcourt veteran heads into EuroBasket Women 2013 off the back of the worst injury of her career, which ruled her out for most of last season. It meant she has barely played for Galatasaray, after her controversial move across the Bosphorus from arch rivals Fenerbahce. She will turn 33 at the tournament but remains the kingpin in the paint for Turkey where she has dominated for many years. She led the team in scoring and rebounds en route to silver at EuroBasket Women 2011 which cemented her place in the All Tournament Team, whilst she also led the team in those same categories last summer at her first Olympics. A class act, who has always put up huge numbers in this competition, Yilmaz is one of the most respected post players in the European game and her presence and health will go a long way to determining whether Turkey can get back on the podium.
