Former EuroCup Women champions Elitzur Ramla had to come from behind against MBK Ruzomberok to seal their first win in Group H.

The 2011 competition winners had looked set for a potentially fatal loss when they trailed 40-31 at the interval, but a super third quarter turned the game on its' head.

They outscored their Slovakian opponent 25-12 and combined with 24 points from Shay Doron, and a near triple-double of 10 points, nine assists and eight rebounds from Natasha Lacy, they eventually rode out 77-70 winners.

Janka Mincikova and Katarina Tetemondova combined for 35 points for MBK Ruzomberok who is still searching for a first win.

Another team who had to fight harder than perhaps anticipated for their first success of the new EuroCup season was Adana Botas.

They were almost made to pay the price for taking their foot off the gas at home to Dunav 8806 but squeezed past the resilient Bulgarian visitors 84-80 to get a precious first win in Group F.

Leading 75-60 with just seven minutes remaining and the game seemingly put to bed, the hosts probably didn't anticipate the kind of thrilling and nervous finale which materialised as Dunav posted a spectacular 16-3 run.

Suddenly, with just under two minutes remaining, the lead had been whittled down to just two-points, but five successive points from Christi Thomas settled home nerves and helped Adana Botas wrap up a hard-fought success.

11. Marie Ayissi (Hainaut Basket)
Hainaut Basket had to fight hard for their home win against Olimpia

Courtney Paris had 17 points and nine rebounds in just 16 minutes for the Turkish club, whilst Kristina Santiago stood out for the losing team with an impressive 24 points and 10 rebounds.

Kayseri Kaski Spor made no mistake in racking up their first success in Group E after making it a miserable season debut for Telge Basket who was punished for a terribly slow start.

The Swedish club was powerless to prevent their Turkish host from romping to a convincing 81-51 win with the result never looking in doubt once Kayseri had posted a devastating 32-13 opening quarter.

Lara Sanders excelled in victory with 17 points and eight rebounds, whilst 1996 born prospect Regan Magarity had 10 points and four rebounds on an otherwise night to forget for the Swedes.

There was successive heartache for Olimpia Grodno after they went down to a second narrow defeat in Group B. Having suffered an agonising single point home floor defeat on opening night to Lotto Young Cats, the Belarus club came close to recording a historical first ever EuroCup Women road win but were edged out 65-60 at Hainaut Basket.

The visitors actually led heading into the final ten minutes, but their slender 48-47 advantage was washed out when Hainaut started the last period with a 13-2 run, at last coming alive from long-range.

To their credit, Olimpia responded and forced a frantic finish when Maryia Papova made a triple to cut the deficit to just 60-58 with a little over two minutes left on the game clock. But, the home team scrambled over the line to stay perfect with a second win in as many games.

Vera Perostiyska was impressive with an efficient 11 points and eight rebounds for Hainaut, whilst Papova finished with a game high 23 points.

TSV Wasserburg had a combined 49 points from Katharina Fikiel and Emma Cannon to thank for an 88-77 road win at BBC Sint-Katelijne-Waver - and their first victory of the season in the competition in Group D.

The German team always looked the most likely victors, but propelled by the stellar talented teenager Hind Ben Abdelkader who had 20 points in the contest, the home team pushed hard for three quarters before imploding defensively in the last quarter.

TSV Wasserburg amassed 29 points in the final ten minutes to seal the deal, with Cannon adding 14 rebounds to her 23 points. Sara Leemans had 14 points and six assists for the hosts.
