The center has been knocking on the door of senior team selection for a major tournament for a number of years, but has struggled to get herself a spot in what is a deep and competitive Czech frontcourt rotation. Ironically, Stepanova may finally get the nod on French soil, where she has just spent her first season playing outside of her homeland with Basket Landes. She has shown improvement right through her first LFB campaign and benefits from not only being a powerful player under the basket, but also having a relatively deep shooting range. She hustles hard and can call upon some experience in a Czech vest from time at the World University Games and during her youth career. |
