There was no shortage of drama in EuroLeague Women on Friday night. One of the Eighth-Final play-off games that went to the wire was that in Hungary, between MKB Euroleasing and Ros Casares.
Ros center Rebekkah Brunson tied the game at 70 all with a lay up with 55 seconds remaining, but her team did not manage to score again till the end of regulation, so hosts Sopron clinched a victory that keeps them alive in the play-offs.
The 30-year-old American though has at least had a consolation prize for her stellar performance. Brunson scored 23 points shooting 11 of 15 from the floor, while she also captured 13 rebounds (8 of which offensive!) to reach an efficiency index rating of 29 and earn the title of the most valuable player in the second round of the Eighth-Final Play-Offs.
