Spain international Cindy Lima didn't make it to the EuroLeague Women Final Four but she'll spend the rest of the season with a team that did after signing for Ros Casares.
The 28-year-old, who began the season with TTT Riga in Latvia and played for them in the EuroLeague Women Qualifying Round before signing for EuroCup Women outfit K.V. Imperial AEL in Cyprus, has now joined Ros Casares.
She can only play for the club in the Liga Femenina, however, as the deadline for signing new players in the EuroLeague Women was at the end of January.
Lima will undergo a medical on Monday.
"Lima is a player that can help us a lot in the key stage of the season," said Ros Casares general manager Carme Lluveras, "especially on defense and rebounding, thus allowing us to lengthen our interior rotation."
The 1.96m power forward/center has joined Ros for the remainder of the campaign with the option of extending the deal for a further year.
Ros Casares also have USA international Delisha Milton-Jones and Brazil pivot Erika De Souza.
The club lost Slovakian Regina Palusna to injury earlier in the season.
Lima averaged 7.9 points and 6.8 rebounds in 26.4 minutes per game for TTT Riga in the EuroLeague and actually played against Ros Casares twice in the Qualifying Round.
Ros Casares won both of those games, though Lima impressed in the second contest with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
