Palusna Suffers New Injury Setback

Slovakia national team center Regina Palusna has suffered another serious injury with Ros Casares confirming she has torn her left Achilles tendon.

Palusna, 20, will go under the knife on Friday in Valencia and will be out of action for four months.

One of the most promising players in Europe, Palusna went down with a serious knee injury shortly after signing with Ros Casares before the 2008-09 campaign.

She played at the EuroBasket in Latvia with Slovakia while this season for Ros Casares in the EuroLeague Women, she was averaging 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 8.5 minutes per game.
