It was a memorable weekend for fans of women's basketball with Spartak Moscow Region taking home their fourth consecutive EuroLeague Women title, but records were being set outside the lines as well. 7,800 spectators packed into Pabellon Municipal Fuente de San Luis for the final two games of the competition, more than have ever seen a EuroLeague Women Final Four session (watch fan video here) or for that matter any EuroLeague Women game. The previous record for attendance at a single EuroLeague Women game was 7,120 to see Kosice play Spartak Moscow Region in December 2007. That number broke the record set in 1995 in Cantu when 5,500 fans came out to watch the final of the world's premier women's basketball competition.
