Top Spanish side Ros Casares have sacked coach Israel Sanchis.
Sanchis, who has been in charge of the team since early last season, leaves with the side currently fourth in the Liga Feminina with four wins from five games.
"The team has not shown a good dynamic or group attitude in recent games," explained club president Francisco Ros Garcia, who announced former coach Esteban Albert would be returning to take charge.
"He has a lot of experience as a coach and won a league and a cup in his last spell here.
"This is a situation that nobody likes, but you have to look forward and try to get the best out of the squad," he added.
Albert has signed a two-year deal with the option of a third season in charge.
Ros Casares are bottom of their EuroLeague Women group after slumping to a 77-64 defeat at home to Hungarian side MiZo-Pecs in their opening match.
Ros also lost two of their key players in the summer with Amaya Valdemoro joining Volgaburmash and Rosi Sanchez moving to Coconuda Maddaloni. |
