Ros Casares Valencia have recruited former Russian national team great Natalia Zasulskaya as a coach.

The 36-year-old, who was born in Kaunas, Lithuania, but opted to play for Russia following the break-up of the Soviet Union, retired from basketball two years ago and went on to help coach Dynamo Moscow.

She had success as a player with Dorna Godella, as the Valencia team was then known, and helped them win the European title in 1993.

Zasulskaya, who has Spanish nationality, will do specific training sessions with the first team and the youth players.

Zasulskaya also played for Getafe Pool during her tenure in Spain and won seven league titles and four Queen Cups during her career in the country.

She captured an Olympic title at the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 as a member of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
