Artland Dragons will be in buoyant mood ahead of their EuroChallenge opener at Keravnos after scraping a 72-71 victory at New Yorker Phantoms Braunschweig in Germany's BEKO BBL.
David Holston's basket six seconds from the end accounted for the final score, with Branko Jorovic's last-second shot staying out for the home side.
It was fitting that Holston scored the winning points for Artland because he had a team-high 20.
Artland leapfrogged the Phantoms into eighth place with their fourth win in seven games.
"I am very happy that we won, even if the victory was by one point, a little fortunate," Artland coach Stefan Koch said.
"In the first half, we played very well, but there were parallels to Bremerhaven game."
Bremerhaven won that encounter, 86-83.
"In the third quarter we defended, especially the counter attacks, very bad," Koch said.
"Unlike last weekend, we found a way to stabilize ourselves.
"While we won't get any beauty points for this win, the victory was important in many ways because it was our first away win after three defeats."
Jared Jordan, who promises to be one of the most exciting players in Europe, had 18 points and nine assists for Bonn.
The other German side in the EuroChallenge, EWE Baskets Oldenburg, slumped to a 97-67 defeat at Alba Berlin.
EWE Baskets are 13th in the BEKO BBL at 3-4, but the four sides above them in the standings have the same record.
In Turkey, Besiktas fans are seeing the best of their team ahead of the EuroChallenge.
They knocked off Turkish Airlines Euroleague outfit Fenerbahce, 83-78, with Deron Williams' 21 points, five assists and five boards leading the way.
Marcelus Kemp contributed 19 points and Zoran Erceg 18 as Besiktas remained unbeaten in Turkey's top flight at 4-0.

Mire Chatman was sensational for Karsiyaka, scoring 37 points and handing out nine assists.
Darius Washington led Turk Telekom with 24 points and Mehmet Okur had 12 points and 12 boards.
Olin Edirne are the other Turkish team in the EuroChallenge and they fell 68-57 at Tofas.
Salah Mejri showed why he was the Afrobasket MVP with gold medal winners Tunisia with a solid effort in leading Antwerp past Okapi.
The 25-year-old center had 12 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks in a 71-60 victory.
In neighbouring Holland, ZZ Leiden avoided an upset by slipping past Weert, 71-69.
Leiden will go into the EuroChallenge game on the back of a win but only because they managed to outscore their opponents 23-14 in the last quarter.
Seamus Boxley had 17 points in the victory.
BC Minsk-2006 are in the EuroChallenge and they will try to recover from their 90-64 hammering by Spartak Saint-Petersburg in the VTB United League.
The former defeated Omonia, 77-62, and the latter edged AEL, 76-73.
In Hungary, Kormend beat Atomeromu SE like a drum, 91-68.
However, Szolnoki Olaj got 16 points and nine rebounds from Marton Bader in an 87-62 win over Marso NYKK.
Kormend and Szolnoki Olaj are each 5-0 and at the top of the standings.
Atomeromu and Szolnoki are in the EuroChallenge.
