Apoel Nicosia beat EiffelTowers Den Bosch for their second EuroChallenge victory in a row.

Lewis Hopkins poured in 20 points and Wykeen Kelly scored 11 while also pulling down 11 rebounds for Apoel (2-1) in an 81-66 Group H victory over the Dutch outfit.

Important blows were landed early in the third quarter after a Jerome Beasley hook shot for EiffelTowers had trimmed the home side's advantage to 45-42.

Hopkins responded by sinking two free-throws and then making a lay-up to start a 9-2 Apoel run which left the Cypriot club with a 54-44 advantage.

The team from the Netherlands tried to keep the game close.

Kees Akerboom's three-ball trimmed the deficit to 56-49 with 3:29 to go in the third quarter.

Apoel answered with Kelly connecting from behind the arc and Milan Dozet making four straight free-throws for a 63-49 lead.

EiffelTowers got no closer than 10 points the rest of the way.

Apoel finished nine of 29 (31%) from behind the arc compared to Den Bosch's six of 24 (25%).

From two-point range, the hosts were 21 of 39 (53.8%) while EiffelTowers made 19 of 45 (42.2%).
