|Chinemelu Elonu chipped in with 14 points in Tofas'win in Estonia|
Tofas SC Bursa romped to a 106-76 victory at Rakvere Tarvas on Tuesday in Estonia to take a commanding lead in their EuroChallenge Qualifying Round tie.
Power forward Joshua Heytvelt connected on four of seven shots from long range and finished with 28 points to lead the charge for the Turkish team, which will look to complete the victory and advance to the Regular Season when the second leg is played in Bursa next week.
The Estonians led briefly at the start of the game before falling behind, yet they didn't appear to be headed for a blowout until late in the third quarter.
Tofas outscored them 13-3 over the last six minutes of the frame to take a 76-61 advantage to the four period.
The visitors then went on a 15-5 run to start finial quarter for a 91-66 stranglehold on proceedings with five minutes still remaining.
Rakvere Tarvas caved in and ended up losing by 30 points.
Also for Tofas, Ukraine international point guard Steven Burtt poured in 20 points and Chinemelu Elonu weighed in with 14.
Samet Geyik, who played for Turkey at the U20 European Championship this summer, had eight rebounds to go with his five points 18:36 of action.
Clarence Jackson's 17 points paced Rakvere Tarvas.
