France: Gravelines Fall At Clermont

Gravelines, who are taking part in the EuroCup this season, suffered their first defeat in France's top flight on Saturday, falling 77-69 at Clermont.

A week after their upset of defending champions Strasbourg, Gravelines were edged out at the Maison des Sports with Darrell Tucker pouring in a game-high 23 points for Clermont.

Tyson Wheeler and Kevin Johnson each had 17 for the visitors in defeat. Strasbourg, who will play in the Euroleague, bounced back from their opening week defeat with a 91-69 win over Dijon, Alvin Young leading the way with 30 points for the victors.

Another EuroCup side, Nancy, were beaten 85-80 at Le Havre, despite 27 points from Maxime Zianveni.

Bourg claimed an 89-68 success at Hyeres-Toulon as Slobodan Savovic scored 23 points.

In other games, Le Mans won 88-77 at home over Chalon/SaƓne, Roanne romped to a 109-86 triumph over Rouen and Paris edged Brest 90-84.
