Galil Elyon may have had a long wait for their first EuroCup home game, but it was worth it as they blew past French outfit Gravelines 98-80 on Wednesday night.
Galil opened their season with a rescheduled game against DJK Joventut Badalona, losing 90-77 in Spain.
The three week gap between that trip and Gravelines' visit seems to have allowed Galil to work out any cobwebs in their game. They were firing on all cylinders against the French side as they exploded for 98 points.
Rising star Lior Eliyahu was unstoppable for Galil as he amassed 27 points. Eliyahu had a near perfect evening, going 12/13 from the field and nailing both his three-point attempts.
Eliyahu received strong support from Serb & Montenegrin forward Sasa Bratic, who added 25 points of his own.
Gravelines were still within shout of victory after 30 minutes and trailed by just 10 points going into the final period.
However, Galil turned up the heat in the fourth quarter, scoring 31 points to ease to victory.
