Liudmila Sapova is a player who always seems to have just missed the boat when it comes to the tough task of nailing down a place in a stacked Russian team. Now 27-years-old, it could be a case of Sapova being a late bloomer with her all-round game and influence for Nadezhda last season both in the Russian Superleague and in EuroLeague Women catapulting her back into the frame once again. The small forward averaged double-digits in Europe for the second successive campaign having previously impressed at Gorzow. She brings energy and an ability to score or weigh in with rebounds, steals and assists. She previously played for Russia at youth level and won gold in 2004 at the U20 European Championship Women.
