|Moscow's Crystal Langhorne led all scorers with 26 points|
There was joy for Dynamo Moscow after reaching the EuroCup Women semi-finals and gaining the added satisfaction of completing a memorable double over Basket Lattes Montpellier Agglomeration with an 86-84 road win against the French League leaders.
The Russian side were bracing themselves for a possible backlash from their hosts having trounced them by 73-51 in Moscow, but it never arrived.
In fact, it was another spectacularly poor ten minutes from BLMA and some excellent play by Dynamo which effectively put any lingering doubts as to who would progress to bed very early.
After suffering a shocking second quarter in the first leg which cost them dearly, this time BLMA started the game out of sorts and that was the worst possible scenario on a night when a good opening was an absolute necessity.
To the horror of the home fans hoping for a stirring fight-back, their favourites crashed and burned inside eleven minutes when they found themselves trailing 31-13 after a basket by Nadezhda Grishaeva.
Behind by a mind-boggling 40 points in the tie, the pride of BLMA really began to kick in as they launched a comeback during the remainder of the second period.
A score inside by Ana Cata-Chitiga just before the interval, brought them to within four points at 43-39, and whilst the visitors eased away again in the third period, BLMA came back again as Fatimatou Sacko tied the game on the night at 57-57.
As the familiar pattern unfolded as Dynamo Moscow streaked away yet again, BLMA continued to show resistance and eventually not only fought back, but even took the lead at 78-77 via veteran guard Edwige Lawson.
But, it wasn't to be as Aleksandra Kostina finished with three successive baskets for Dynamo to get it done in crunch time and put the cherry on the celebration cake.
The stellar form of Crystal Langhorne continued as she added 26 points from 10-of-13 floor shooting, whilst Geraldine Robert and Ana Lelas led BLMA with a combined 35 points.
