ZKK Hemofarm Vrsac proved to be no match for Dynamo Moscow and their one-two scoring punch of Belinda Snell and Anete Jekabsone-Zogota in the EuroCup Women on Thursday evening.
Australia international Snell scored a game-high 23 points and Latvia's Jekabsone-Zogota contributed 17 as Natalia Hekjova's team rolled to a 90-63 triumph in the first leg of their Quarter-Final.
Dynamo's Russia international Marina Kuzina started the carnage with a three-pointer and Jekabsone-Zogota followed with a lay-up for a 5-0 lead.
Hemofarm got on the board with a lay-up, only for another Kuzina jump shot to spark a 7-0 run that was capped by a Snell three-pointer for a 12-2 Dynamo lead.
Trailing 21-11 at the end of the quarter, things went from bad to worse in the second frame for the home side as Dynamo opened up a 36-19 advantage.
The Serbian outfit managed to claw their way back to 46-32 by half-time and Ivana Dojcinovic's three-ball made it an 11-point deficit at the beginning of the third quarter.
That was as close as Hemofarm would get.
Snell's lay-up gave Dynamo a 74-46 stranglehold on proceedings at the end of the third quarter and the lead ballooned to 83-50 in the fourth quarter before Hejkova's team settled for a 27-point first-leg victory.
When Snell gets hot from outside, she's one of the most dangerous shooters in the game.
She made five of six from long range on Thursday while Jekabsone-Zogota was three of five.
Dynamo finished nine of 16 (56.2%) from the arc while shooting 25 of 41 (60.9%) inside it.
By contrast, Marina Maljkovic's Hemofarm were 23 of 71 (32.3%) from the floor overall and just four of 19 (21%) from long range.
Dara Kovacevic scored 17 points in defeat.
