Leuchanka isn't just a leader of the Belarus national team, she's a veteran whose decision to return means another mouth-watering partnership in the paint with Anastasiya Verameyenka. She didn't participate last summer and will be out to prove she can still match the very best in Europe under the hoop, preferably re-visiting the heights of 2010 when she played in the WNBA Finals and had an excellent FIBA World Championship. The center comes into this tournament having played in the Chinese League where she averaged huge double-doubles regularly but had to leave early with a hand injury. A huge name and presence both on and off the court not only in her native Belarus, but also in the women's basketball world, Leuchanka knows what it takes to find success and her return to the frontcourt is a huge bonus, especially defensively in the paint. The team will also be looking for her to get points on the board with some trademark spin moves down low and her hook shot with either hand.
