Galatasaray clinched a spot in the EuroLeague Women Eighth-Final Play-offs with a 71-55 home triumph over TTT Riga on Thursday.
The Turkish club improved to 4-3 in Group A and will now attempt to improve their standing over the final three weeks of the Qualifying Round.
Galatasaray seized the initiative in the first 13 minutes when they opened up a 25-10 lead.
Belarus center Yelena Leuchanka scored 10 of her 13 points in that impressive start to the game for the home side.
The Latvian club closed the gap to 36-30 after a basket by Lisa Willis but Katie Douglas made two free-throws and Tugba Palazoglu connected from behind the arc for an 11-point Gala advantage.
Riga shaved the deficit to seven points but a Douglas jumper sparked a 14-2 Galatasaray run and put the result beyond doubt.
Douglas finished with 17 points and Sophia Young 15 for Galatasaray.
Willis had 17 points for the Latvian club, which slumped to 1-6 with the setback.
Riga have only a flicker of hope of making it to the Eighth-Finals Play-offs.
The Latvian club has to win its final three games and have Cras Basket Taranto lose their remaining three contests to leave both sides with four wins and six defeats.
However, Riga would need to win by more than 11 at Cras in Italy to win a potential goal differential tie-breaker.
