Tugba Palazoglu has lightening quickness which means she is a great defensive presence to have on the team. Only two other players at EuroBasket Women 2009 finished with more steals per game and that kind of intensity will remain a real weapon for Turkey. At the offensive end, the speed of Palazoglu can occasionally prove less effective with a heightened risk of turnovers although she can knock down shots, and on her day, can prove to be an ‘X-Factor'. This guard has won a EuroCup Women title with Galatasaray as well as domestic trophies and has been a Turkish League All Star. A late bloomer at the senior National Team level, she didn't play in the Qualifying Round but showed plenty at EuroBasket Women 2009 to highlight why she is likely to be a core member of the team once again. |
