MMT Estudiantes stretched their unbeaten run under coach Mariano de Pablos, coming from behind to seal an 85-83 victory at Polaris World CB Murcia in the ACB on Sunday.

De Pablos replaced Pedro Martinez last month, and Estu recorded their sixth successive win under his leadership thanks to an impressive display from Hernan Jasen.

The Italian totalled 25 points and seven rebounds as the visitors fought back from a 48-39 deficit at half-time to claim the spoils following a 25- 17 run in the final quarter.

Kevin Thompson and Stephane Risacher scored 19 points apiece for Murcia in a losing cause.

Estu stay ninth in the ACB standings following the result, while city rivals Real Madrid continue to lead the way thanks to an emphatic 99-79 victory over Alta Gestion Fuenlabrada.

Fifteen points apiece for Felipe Reyes and Axel Hervelle helped Real on their way as they raced to a 58-41 lead at the interval and never looked back thereafter.

Wintherthur FC Barcelona improved their record to 17-9 with a 76-68 success at lowly Bruesa GBC.

The contest was evenly poised at half-time but a 19-11 run in the third quarter - and a game-high 27 points from Juan Carlos Navarro - earned Wintherthur the win.

DKV Joventut are fifth in the table following an 88-74 victory over Unicaja Malaga, Grupo Capitol Valladolid saw off fellow-strugglers Etosa Alicante 73-61 and Vive Menorca continue to prop up the standings after a 97-91 defeat at home to Gran Canaria Grupo Dunas.

Tau Ceramica took over the sole leadership in the ACB on Saturday night after an 83-77 win at third-placed Akasvayu Girona.

The visitors claimed the first period 22-16 and never looked back against a side which will compete in the Final Four of the EuroCup.

Serbian Igor Rakocevic led the winners with 27 points, including nine-of-nine from the charity stripe.

Brazil international Tiago Splitter added 20 points and 10 rebounds in a fine all-round display.

Gregor Fucka, who had 17 points and five rebounds, and Marc Gasol with 16 points and 13 rebounds impressed in a losing cause.

Michal Ignerski poured in 20 points as Caja San Fernando overcame Pamesa Valencia 85-74.

Dejan Milojevic contributed a match-high 22 points for Valencia who were made to pay for letting slip a 26-17 first period advantage.

In Saturday's other game, Luke Recker scored 19 points as Lagun Aro Bilbao Basket edged out CB Granada 77-69.
