PLAYER HISTORY
Bozena Erceg

Career: Splićanka (Croatia-A1, 1997-2000), Jolly Sibenik (Croatia-A1, 2000-04, Tiger Wells (Austria-Hauptrunde 1, 2004-05), Bolzano (Italy-Lega, 2005-06), UB Barcelona (Spain-Liga Feminina, 2006-07), Jolly Sibenik (Croatia-A1, 2007)

With a few of her current teammates, she won a Gold medal in the Mediterranean Games, in Tunisia, which is a kind of compensation trophies for all of Croatia's EuroBasket failures… As Split's Youth basketball School gave many basketball legends - like Toni Kukoc and Dino Radja in men's competitions –,female heroes didn’t follow their steps. That rule does not include well know names like Vedrana Grgin-Fonseca, or Croatian new stars like Ana Lelas and Bozena Erceg. Bozena was the best junior player in her generation, and she can easily be used as a small forward or a shooting guard. Bozena has great tactical skills and a natural ability to read the defense. She never had a big role with the Croatian national team, but this EuroBasket might be hers…
