| 17 October 2006 From Darko Nikolic, Belgrade KK Vojvodina opened their Nasa Sinalco Liga campaign with a convincing 115-83 victory over Napredak.
Uros Duvnjak, who was three of four from three-point range in the Hala Sportova, finished with 20 points and six assists while Ivan Ivanovic and Ivan Jelenic also weighed in with 16 points each for Vojvodina - Serbia's representatives in the EuroCup.
Ivanovic was four of five from the arc while Jelenic also made three of four. Predrag Miletic top scored for Napredak with 17 points.
Napredak had a number of key players missing due to a stomach virus, but Vojvodina coach Velimir Gasic said: "We knew about the problems of our rival, but we also played without some important players like Hungarian international (Istvan) Nemeth, (Strahinja) (Ivan) Milosevic and Bosnjak.
"Still, we acted as a real team, our strong defense gave us a lot of opportunities for easy points."
Miladin Pekovic netted a three-pointer on the buzzer as Mega Basket recorded a narrow 94-91 away win over Novi Sad.
Veteran guard Branko Milisavljevic top scored with 25 points for the winners, while Zeljko Vucurovic, 40, weighed in with 16 for Novi Sad.
Predrag Markovic scored 25 points and Zoran Osmokrovic netted 17 as Borac beat Sloga 81-76, while Masinac survived late Zdravlje's surge to win 69-63.
Radovan Pesic and Rajko Kljajevic both scored 16 points as Radnicki secured a 88-81 victory over Ergonom, and Dalibor Djapa contributed 22 as Swisslion defeated OKK Beograd 87-85.
