Vojvodina, Radnicki, Swisslion and Mega Ishrana remained unbeaten after the second round of the Nasa Sinalco Liga, the preliminary phase of the Serbian basketball championship.

Vojvodina, favourites for one of the four available Superleague places, defeated Borac Cacak 81-65, with former Red Star forward Cedomir Vitkovac scoring 21 points for the hosts and Zoran Osmokrovic claiming 17 for the visitors.

Vojvodina coach Velimir Gasic said: "We expected a tough challenge. But even though we built a 16-point advantage in the second period, in the next one we made many mistakes, which allowed our opponents to stay in the match.

"If we want to fulfil our goals, we have to raise the level of our defensive performance to a higher gear."

Radnicki celebrated their second victory by outplaying Masinac 89-73, despite a late surge from their opponents, thanks to a 50-33 first-half performance.

Rajko Kljajevic scored 20 points and Radovan Pesic added 18 as the hosts held off Masinac's run which reduced the deficit to just four points in the final quarter.

Masinac coach Radenko Varagic said: "It would be nice if we only played like we did in the third period. We won it 26-17 but, unfortunately, we are still not at that level which allows us to produce our best form for the whole game."

Elsewhere, Swisslion were 84-91 victors at Sloga, with Dalibor Djapa scoring 26 points for the winners, while Mega Ishrana also boast a 2-0 record after an 89-86 win over Napredak. Branko Milisavljevic registered 28 points, six assists and five steals for the hosts from Belgrade.

Zdravlje were thankful for 38-year-old center Slobodan Mitic's 26 points as they beat Novi Sad 80-76, while Ergonom overcame an 11-point deficit to oust Beograd 86-76, with 25 points from Milos Trailovic.
