Antonios Fotsis - EuroBasket 2013 Profile

Team 2012-13: EA7 Emporio Armani Milano (Italy-Lega)
Career: Ilisiakos (Greece-A2, 1994-97); Panathinaikos (Greece-ESAKE, 1997-01); Memphis Grizzlies (USA-NBA, 2001-02); Panathinaikos (Greece-ESAKE, 2002-03); Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2003-05), Dynamo Moscow (Russia-Superleague, 2005-2008); Panathinaikos (Greece-ESAKE, 2008-11); EA7 Emporio Armani Milano (Italy-Lega, 2011-13)

Antonis Fotsis turned 32 last April and, unavoidably, has lost some of the explosiveness and athletic ability that characterised his game in years past, but is in turn more experienced than ever and still the leader of men he has been since he first pulled on a Greek jersey, 16 years ago, at the European Championship for Cadets. He had a discreet past season at Milano but Panathinaikos valued these timeless qualities and will bring him back to Athens for a record-fourth spell at the club after EuroBasket. Fotsis will probably not be Greece's leading scorer in Slovenia, but his shooting remains as accurate as ever and his role will be to provide a reliable option at the '4' spot as he makes the most of his height advantage over most power forwards in the tournament.
