Xion Dukes will go into the second leg of their EuroChallenge Qualifying Round tie at Apollon with an extra bounce in their step after beating Allianz Swans Gmunden in the Austrian Supercup.
Werner Sallomon's team prevailed in a close encounter over the weekend, 91-82.
The Dukes won despite a 35-point haul for Swans point guard Joshua Brown.
"This was a decent performance," Sallomon said.
"We tried to play our game.
"The majority of the game we have been strong defensively and offensively."
Ramiz Suljanovic, the Dukes center, had 19 points in the win.
Xion Dukes have travelled to Cyprus to take on Apollon in the second leg of their EuroChallenge Qualifying Round tie.
Apollon won the first leg in Austria, 78-70.
Two other ties hang in the balance in the EuroChallenge Qualifying Round, with Joensuun Kataja taking a 12-point advantage with them to Aliaga Petkim in Turkey and Ural Ekaterinburg welcoming Gaz Metan Medias to Russia after scraping a 69-67 victory in the opening leg in Romania.
Meanwhile, Tofas SC would have to suffer a major collapse to lose their tie with Rakvere Tarvas.
The Turkish club won the first encounter in Estonia, 106-76.
