| 22.11.2012 EUROCHALLENGE | | Week 3 MVP: Brandon Brown |
Brandon Brown delivered a solid performance on Tuesday to help Pizza Express Apollon survive a nail-biting clash with BCM Gravelines Dunkerque and claim their first win in the EuroChallenge Regular Season. The 26-year-old power forward had 28 points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal in Apollon's 89-88 victory. Brown was 11-for-17 from the floor and made all five of his shots from the charity stripe. His stat lines translate to an efficiency index rating of 32, a mark that earns him EuroChallenge Regular Season Week 3 MVP honours ahead of Lamonte Ulmer of Tampereen Pyrintö, who summoned 30. Brown is also the leading scorer in the EuroChallenge with 24.8 points per contest and Dunkerque were not the first team this season that failed to come up with a way to limit his offensive output. The consistent American has featured in five games in the EuroChallenge, since Apollon had to go through the qualifying round, and has never contributed less than 23 points to his team. Bobby Maze of Keravnos Strovolu was in third place this week with a rating of 27. EUROCHALLENGE WEEK 3 EFFICIENCY INDEX - TOP 15 |
