ZVVZ USK Prague claimed a 62-53 victory over Dexia Namur on Thursday to win the match-up of the two winless sides in EuroLeague Women Group B.

Sviatlana Volnaya (ZVVZ USK Prague)
Sviatlana Volnaya had 12 points and 7 rebounds for Prague
Sviatlana Volnaya hauled down seven boards, contributed three assists and poured in 12 points for the victors while Marketa Mokrosova top scored with 17 points as well as grabbing five rebounds.

Her five three-pointers in eight attempts from outside the arc came at crucial times.

A Sandra Le Drean jump shot and two layups from Volnaya saw Prague quickly take a 6-0 lead but the Belgians pulled back to 12-12.

A Mokrosova three-pointer and a Le Drean layup took the score to 17-12 but Annemarie Parau made it 17-16 by the end of the first quarter.

Oksabana Agabalova's three-pointer in the second quarter saw the visitors take the lead at 24-23 and by the halfway mark the score was deadlocked at 35 each.

Floriane Herrscher's jumpshot saw Dexia take an early third quarter lead, but a Janell Burse jumpshot and another Mokrosova three-pointer put Prague 41-37 ahead.

Two Mokrosova free throws ensured the hosts had a 53-46 lead at the end of the third quarter.

In a low-scoring final period, Jana Lichnerova's jump shot with 4:01 remaining gave Prague a 58-50 lead and from that moment Dexia never got close enough to turn the game around.

Dexia are winless in five while Prague improve to 1-4.
