Turkey: Fener edge Buyuk Kolej

Fenerbahce warmed up for their EuroCup clash this week at Dynamo St Petersburg with an 81-79 triumph over Buyuk Kolej on Friday night.

Fener, who are unbeaten in Round II of the European competition, got 23 points from Jarod Stevenson and 16 from Damir Mrsic.

The Istanbul team led 44-41 at half-time and Buyuk Kolej, who had a team-high 21 points from Murat Rifat Kaya, closed to 63-62 by the end of the third quarter but six-placed Fener scored at the end to claim the victory - their eighth in 14 games so far.

In Friday's other game, Darussafaka won 83-74 at home over Pinar Karsiyaka while on Saturday, Tuborg Pilsener beat visiting Tekelspor 72-67 and Banvitsport claimed a valuable 66-60 road win at Besiktas.
