Kambala Earns Player of Week Honours

Kaspars Kambala of Fenerbahçe was dominant in a crucial 86-83 victory over St. Petersburg on Tuesday evening and deservedly earned EuroCup Player of the Week honours.

Kambala scored 12 of his game-high 31 points when it mattered most in the fourth quarter to lead Fenerbahçe to their eighth victory in nine EuroCup games.

The Latvian native and former product of UNLV chose an opportune time to register his second 30-plus scoring performance of the EuroCup.

The win over St. Petersburg allowed Fenerbahçe to solidify their first place standing in Group I.

Kambala tallied his 31 points with efficiency, shooting 13 of 18 from the field and 5 of 6 from the free throw line.

In nine games, Kambala is averaging 18.6 points per game, 11th best in the EuroCup.
