Career: Aias Evosmou (Greece-3rd Division, 1994-1997), Iraklis Thessaloniki (Greece-A1, 1997-2002), CSKA Moscow (Russia-Super League, 2002-2003), Panathinaikos BC (Greece-HEBA A1, 2004-…)
Grew up in Thessaloniki watching Galis and all the other stars of the ‘80s and ‘90s. Cool guy outside the court, and also looks cool in the paint, but if you leave him alone, you’ll pay the price, probably with an emphatic dunk. Likes to penetrate but won’t hesitate to shoot from behind the arc. Nick has strong feet, is quick and is preferred by all the coaches of the national team after his best season with Iraklis, 2001-2. Since 2002-3 has won a Russian league title with CSKA and two consecutive championships with Panathinaikos in Greece, plus a Greek Cup. With the absence of Alvertis, Hatzivrettas will have get major minutes in Belgrade and everybody hopes that he will finally show his scoring skills like he almost did during the Olympic Games of Athens. Has made over 70 appearances for the Greek national team |
