After missing action last summer during the Qualifying Round due to a troublesome knee injury, veteran guard Vlado Scepanovic had hinted he may have played his last game with the National Team but it now looks like he could have the opportunity to add to his glittering resume. He won gold with Yugoslavia both at the 1998 FIBA World Championship and at EuroBasket 2001, as well as bronze at EuroBasket 1999. Having played for Serbia & Montenegro at EuroBasket 2005, this will be the third different National Team vest he has worn at the tournament. His influence for Montenegro was all too evident in the promotion campaign a few years back when he averaged over 12 points per game and shot an incredible 70% from the field inside and almost 44% from beyond the arc. He has utilised his shooting skills at club level too where he has won plenty of silverware and played in Euroleague Final Fours, All Star games and Championship series. He really has it all, and if back to full fitness, his experience and quality will be a real tonic.
