Ros Casares Valencia pulled out all the stops this evening and with a  last quarter push took a surprise second 1/8 Final victory and knocked title-holders US Valenciennes Olympic out of this year's EuroLeague Women championship.

In Valenciennes' first EuroLeague Play-Off home loss since 1997, Ros came back from a 13 point deficit early in the second half to put an end to the current champions' repeat title hopes.

In a battle for 3rd place in Group A of the EuroLeague Women, 2004 champions Valenciennes scored a valuable road victory over Hungarian side MKB-Euroleasing Sopron on Thursday night. 

A 17-0 run by Valenciennes over the course of the end of the second and beginning of the third quarter undermined a good start by Sopron.
