Gambrinus JME 75 vs. US Valenciennes Olympic 56

Czech side Gambrinus Brno produced a dominant performance tonight at home to comfortably beat the EuroLeague Women reigning champions Valenciennes. Brno's win sees them take second place in Group A, with a game in hand of leaders Lietuvos Telekomas.

Brno had all facets of their game on display against the French visitors. On offense they dished 16 assists (to just 4 from Valenciennes) and they held their opponents to 32% shooting from the floor.

The game remained close in the first period, but by the second quarter it was clear that the game would go to Brno. They turned a 4-point advantage into a 19-point lead at halftime and clearly held the ascendancy.

Brno was led by a balanced scoring effort. Taj McWilliams had a team high 13 points, while Eva Viteckova, Jana Vesela and Alena Kovacova scored 11 apiece.
