Belgacom Liege claimed a 78-71 win at EuroChallenge Group I leaders Cholet to move into second place. Larry Owens had 16 points and five rebounds for the Belgian outfit, which is now 2-3 heading into the final week of Top 16 play. Trailing 61-58 at the beginning of the fourth quarter, Christopher Hill made one of two at the line and Owens followed with a game-tying lay-up. Justin Cage then buried a three-ball to make it 64-61 and the visitors stayed in front the rest of the way. Cage and Hill each had 15 points for Belgacom. For Cholet (4-1), Rodrigue Beaubois had a game-high 18 points. EiffelTowers Den Bosch (2-2) play at Telekom Baskets Bonn (1-3) on Wednesday. |
