San Marino and Wales will face off for the title of the U18 European Championship Men, Division C on the fourth and last day of the tournament.

Both sides reached their third win in as many games on Friday to continue at the top of the standings and therefore the encounter between them on Day Four assumes the character of a final.

But whereas the hosts cruised to victory against Gibraltar, Wales had to fight -and survive- a second consecutive fierce battle, this time against Andorra, after their comeback win against Moldova on Day Two.

Andorra started better but the last three minutes of the first quarter belonged to Wales, who managed to take the lead, 18-14, at the first buzzer.

The Brits even managed to build a seven-point gap midway through the second quarter, but the Iberians came back to close it to just three points, 32-35, at half-time.

It would be a tough battle till the end, with Andorra managing to contain the main Welsh offensive weapon, Jacob David Lloyd, at least up until midway the fourth quarter when he inspired a 10-2 run that brought his team leading by 10 points, 58-48, with just 2:20 left on the clock.

This effectively meant Wales had won the game, as all Andorra managed to do in the dying moments was to decrease the gap to just two points at the final buzzer, 62-64.

The hosts had a much easier mission against Gibraltar, as they led from start to finish and won 72-36, having given valuable playing time to all the players in their squad.

San Marino's Davide Macina led all scorers with 23 points, while Adrian Louis Bado had 17 for Gibraltar
