Van Rossom began his basketball journey in Gent, where his father was coach at his local junior club, and after playing lower league with De Pinte, he made his professional debut with Oostende. He won two Belgian Championships there (2006 and 2007), as well as the Belgian Cup (2008) before joining Milano. He was sent on loan to Pesaro in 2009, helping them to the Final Four of EuroChallenge. In 2010, he switched to the Spanish League, spending three seasons with Zaragoza before signing for Valencia in July 2013. He represented Belgium in the U18 and U20 European Championships, making his senior competitive debut on 08/08/07 vs. Israel, before featuring at EuroBasket 2011.
