Scavolini Pesaro will play in the EuroChallenge Final Four this weekend but everyone's thoughts at the club right now are on Dusan Sakota, whose season came to an end over the weekend following a blow to the stomach in the game against Bancas Tercas Teramo.

The 24-year-old Serbian suffered a laceration in his duodenum after contact with Italy international Giuseppe Poeta of Teramo in the opening minute of Sunday's game.

Sakota was rushed to hospital and underwent five hours of surgery.

He has been in an induced coma since Tuesday following a second operation to stop internal bleeding.

The head of San Salvatore Hospital in Pesaro, Maria Grazia Mortilla, said the player spent a "serene night."
