Skyliners Edge Göttingen In OT Thriller

19 April 2010

BG Göttingen staged a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback on Sunday to force overtime but then lost to Deutsche Bank Skyliners 90-88 in Germany's Beko Basketball Bundesliga.

The Violets, who are hosting the EuroChallenge Final Four (April 30 to May 2), trailed by 13 points entering the last quarter but outscored the Frankfurt team 26-13 to knot the game at the end of regulation.

But Skyliners, who appointed Gordon Herbert last week as their new coach, edged Göttingen in the extra period.

Taylor Rochestie tied the game with three seconds remaining with two free-throws for Göttingen, who then survived Seth Doliboa's attempt from three-point range in the closing seconds.

Aubrey Reese scored the game-winning basket nine seconds from the end for Skyliners.

Scavolini Rout Biella; Roanne Roll

Scavolini Pesaro eased their relegation fears in Italy with a 79-61 drubbing of Angelico Biella on Sunday.

Dusan Sakota led five Pesaro players in double figures with 13 points.

Michael Hicks finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds for Luca Dalmonte's side, which is in 10th place at 9-16.

Scavolini will be at the EuroChallenge Final Four, as will French outfit Roanne.

Dylan Page had 23 points for Roanne as they hammered Paris-Levallois, 100-82.
